You will receive savings on fuel purchases made with your Shell Fuel Rewards® Card at participating Shell locations within the United States. When you use your card to purchase fuel, the price you pay will be reduced at the point of sale by 5 cents per gallon on up to 20 gallons. For fuel purchases made at the pump, the price per gallon will be reduced at the pump after you swipe your credit card, except where prohibited by law. For in-store fuel purchases, the savings will be applied prior to the completion of your purchases.
In the event savings at the point of sale are unavailable for any reason, you will receive the savings as a statement credit. In that case, you will not see a reduction in the price per gallon at the pump or prior to the completion of an in-store purchase. The statement credits will be automatically posted to your monthly billing statement. When calculating the amount of the statement credit, we will multiply the number of gallons purchased by 5 cents and round to the nearest cent. In the event gallon information is not available for a specific purchase, we will determine the number of gallons purchased by dividing the total purchase amount by an average price per gallon amount obtained from the U.S. Department of Energy. We will use the average price per gallon from the U.S. Department of Energy for the specific grade of fuel purchased, or in the event the fuel grade information is not provided to us, we will use the average price per gallon amount from the U.S. Department of Energy for regular unleaded fuel.
With the Shell Fuel Rewards® Card, you earn 10% Shell rebates on your first $1,200 in Shell non-fuel purchases made each year with your card at Shell locations within the United States. Shell non-fuel purchases in excess of $1,200 each year do not earn rebates.
All rebates on the Shell Fuel Rewards® Card will be automatically redeemed by applying the rebates as a credit against Shell purchases made with your card in subsequent billing cycles. Rebates are not earned on the following: purchases made for business or commercial purposes; purchases returned for full or partial credit; and cash advances, balance transfers, interest and finance charges, account fees and fees for services and programs you elect to receive through us.
